For the last few days I have been looking at hunch.com. This online service is simple yet unique. Basically you get a account and type in the search “what I’m making a decision about”.

It will pop up relevant questions on what you were trying to deiced on. One example is what type of computer should I buy, it will ask you questions like how big, brand, price, ext. After about 10 questions it shows three results. Most questions are user generated, however it seemed to be pretty good at coming with up with good results Hunch.com offers questions on about anything, the interface is simple and easy. I just hope they are creating a mobile version, that could be useful.

Google Chrome

My first impression of Chrome is, “got to have it”. Chrome is Google’s new and first web browser. Is does not come to me as a large shock however, I found the web browser to be very nice experiments. It is clean and really, really simple to use. A lot of new browser now like Chrome and IE8, have new privacy opinion.

Mygazines.com, a Youtube or Hulu for Magazines?

Besides the odd name, mygazines.com is pretty cool. The concept is that someone scans and uploads their magazine to the site and people view it, simple. However it seems odd that people can upload these newly released magazines, like from this month, without getting in any legal problems. This almost seems impossible, that’s why I emailed the company to ask them how this is legal, I will post the response as soon as I get it. But forgetting the legal stuff this site is easy use. It is a little slow, but once you get your magazine its not that bad. There of course in this web 2.0 world, is a social part to the site. You can share articles and bring in your contacts. You do get what you get for free, some magazines are low quality, however most are not that bad. Over all its a great site, but it will be seen how long this site can last.

Today we took a look at Bigscreenlive.com. Bigscreenlive is a program that allows you to serf the internet, and navigate the computer easily. It is mostly made for seniors citizens who did not grow up in the computer or internet age. Over all it is a great program and easy to use. However I found the inbox area and the news area to be a little clunky. And I think the price might be a little high for what it does, $9.95 a month. It is worth trying out for 30 days though. You probably know a lot about sites that allow you to store and share your files online. We have tested some including SugarSync. However today we are taking a look at Oosah.com. oosah is a site that not only allows you to store up to 2 GB of you videos, photos, and music, but once uploaded to the service it allows you to put them in places including Youtube, Flickr, and more. It is mostly flashed based and pretty responsive. I found it to be one of the simpler storage sites out there. However right now in beta there are a lot of glitches. Plus the folder system could improve. Over all though it is a great product and worth a try. Check out latechna video’s review below for more…

Modernfeed.com is a site that is basically a search engine of all the online shows and content. It is a big TV guide to shows online right now. So lest say you want to search your show, well you type it in to the search box or find it by networks, A-Z, and others. When you find your show it will tell you what episodes are available and if you can download it to your Ipod or if its in HD.Then it will bring you to that site, if its on ABC, FOX, ex. and you watch the show. I find it useful although Hulu does a good job to if you prefer that.

PS: (I also saw it works on the Iphone)

Today Box.net has partnered up with ShoZu , to provide a online storage place to store there photos and videos. Shozu.com, (if you do not now about them), allows you to upload content from your mobile device to places like Youtube, Facebook, and others.

A new way to pay Amazon

Amazon.com just came out with a new way to pay for there products, over the mobile phone. Now at first it did not sound like a ideal idea to me, but then again it could come into handy. Lets say you are in a store, buying a router, well there a some services that you could use to find if there are cheaper prices online, but lets say you wanted to find the price right then for amazon and you want to buy it right there. Well follow the rules below and there you go…

Well that we know of this is not a trick, a April fools joke as it is not the 2nd now. But if it was I think I could live without. If you want to try it check out Amazon’s “textbuyit”

Yahoo- Smart mobile search

Yahoo just recently released a new smart mobile search. Now this may not big that big of news but this uses your voice to do things like sent a text message. This app on your phone, (the talking to your phone part is from vlingo.com technology), allows you to”…search for anything, including flight numbers, locations, Web site names, local restaurants, and more, by simply speaking,” from Yahoo. This technology seems to be up to date, but until I can test it we will see how well it will work in the middle of a busy city for example. (Read up more from the news.com article (link below))…
