The plane is to blog about the “Hack” we did over the weekended. Now when we say hack we don’t mean bad hacking. We mean taking things apart seeing whats inside. So here is our first “Hacking the Weekends”… (Remember you can click on any of the pictures to make them bigger). Click the read more button below to see the “Hack”…)

Today for Hacking the Weekends we diced to start simple, and take apart a old remote. I was surprised to find it was quite simple on the inside.

So we must remove the back off, by splitting it open. We use little notches around the remote (seeing above)

So we took the board off of the remote. The other side of this board is made to for the buttons (below)…

It may be bleary but each of these black spots are what the buttons hit to switch the channel, change volume, ext. If you look close you will see each of these black spots have labels this one says “Play”

Well, we put it back together I don’t think it will work, I think we cracked something. (Oh well it was a old remote)…
