Hulu.com recently came out with a new desktop app. This app is available for both Mac and PC and is pretty easy to use. Although can be slow at times it is still very intuitive. If you have a Windows Media Center remote or a Mac Frontrow remote you can control this software with them.  Just a little while ago Hulu told Boxee and other software that they had to get rid of there link to Hulu. It is now clear why they did this, although it is a little disappointing they are not allowing there website out there.  hulu.com/labs

If you look us up on Twitter, you will find us. You might feel confused why we are writing about why Twitter is no longer fun. Well our job here is test everything, so of course we tested Twitter. Well with that out of the way lest keep going.

Before twitter was discovered by the famous the big and the many it was basically a way to say what are you doing right now. Of course many still answer this question, but still many create it as a place to see how many followers they can get. I recently went to panel were several web 2.0 people talked about Twitter and what it means today. One thing they said was there are many people who try to see how many followers they can get and who can get high first. Now that many high profile stars are on Twitter the 1 million mark of followers was easily past. I also recently read are article about how people have hundred’s maybe thousands of friends on Facebook. But how many of these people do you think they connect with physical, in the real word on week to week bases. And how many do you think there are of these people that they never meet, probably a lot. Now would you considered these people you never meet your friends. On Twitter you are more likely to have people you never meet before. Yet you tell your life, and your followers probably knows lot about your day to day life than you realize. Now that almost everyone has heard of Twitter it has become the bloated not much useful social network. Now I can’t say it’s all that bad. Twitter has allowed many to get news as it happens which could be a very useful asset to society. But then again how soon do we need to know about news halfway around the world.

Lets hear your comments on this issue.

Hunch.com

For the last few days I have been looking at hunch.com. This online service is simple yet unique. Basically you get a account and type in the search “what I’m making a decision about”. hunch search

It will pop up relevant questions on what you were trying to deiced on. One example is what type of computer should I buy, it will ask you questions like how big, brand, price, ext. After about 10 questions it shows three results. Most questions are user generated, however it seemed to be pretty good  at coming with up with good results Hunch.com offers questions on about anything, the interface is simple and easy. I just hope they are creating a mobile version, that could be useful.

Wearable Computer, MIT

February 6, 2009 - 9:46 pm No Comments

MIT has created this very cool wearable computer. Now that might sound a little odd, but this is very nice idea and will probably have some good impalement’s in the future. I recommend watch the video below to see some of the concepts. Also read a hole article on this concept at http://blog.wired.com/business/2009/02/ted-digital-six.html

(I think that projecting key words on another persons shirt might be odd, but every thing else is cool.)
